The Pungwe C Power Station was commissioned in March 2016. It is a 3.75 MW scheme, taking water from a weir on the Chiteme river which is a tributary of the Pungwe river.
The water is channelled through a 1200mm diameter steel penstock for a distance of 2,750 metres and a vertical drop of 180 metres.
The scheme is designed to generate an average of 9,554 MWh per year.
